According to the draft law, Article 307¹ will be added to the Criminal Code, which will regulate the issue of criminal liability for treason.
According to this provision, the following acts committed by a citizen of Georgia or by a stateless person with status in Georgia will be considered treason: violation of the territorial integrity of Georgia, conclusion or negotiation of an unconstitutional agreement, infringement of Georgia's external security, joining a foreign intelligence service, undermining Georgia's defense capability, disclosure of state secrets, espionage, conspiracy or rebellion to violently change the constitutional order of Georgia, sabotage, and/or assisting a foreign country, foreign organization, or an organization under foreign control in hostile activities.
